Chapter 10 · Check it yourself
Check it yourself.

How long you wait and what you pay, right now
Kaspa, Bitcoin and Ethereum, read live. Each ruler step is ten times bigger.

Check the newest payment
One tap lays out the newest real payment the network just settled: what moved, what it paid, where it sits, and how deep it is buried.
The raw reply
Nothing fetched yet.
The last 100 blocks carried … payments.
The method: the middle fee per unit of mass those blocks actually paid, times the mass of one simple payment (about 2,000, as the fee material above states). Sampled from the newest payments the feed holds.
Go deeper on the map: one payment, end to end, and the open questions.
The one sentenceEvery figure on this site came from the public network, and you can pull the same replies yourself.
The exact version
The same chapter with the workings shown: the derivations, the edge cases, and the numbers behind the plain version.
Look it up yourself, run a node, get test coins
Look up a transaction
Borrow a payment id from a block that just arrived, or paste your own. Read-only.
Run a node, mine
The Rust node, rusty-kaspa, runs on a normal desktop and keeps only recent history, so it doesn’t grow forever. Home miners can point at their own node and solo mine. At ten blocks a second, a miner with one millionth of all mining power, about 0.36 TH/s on Nov 4, 2026, expects close to one block a day (864,000 blocks × 10⁻⁶).
Sources and the raw numbers
Where the comparison rows come from
Bitcoin’s block time is mempool.space’s average over recent blocks; Ethereum’s is its fixed 12-second slot; Kaspa’s is the live rate from api.kaspa.org. Fees: Bitcoin at mempool.space’s fastest rate for a 140 vB payment, Ethereum at the current gas price for a 21,000-gas transfer, Kaspa at the node’s priority fee rate for a payment of about 2,000 mass units. Prices from CoinGecko. When a source can’t be reached, its row says so; nothing here is filled in by hand.
